Updated collection.

Expecting an incoming this week, then going to try for a strict one in/one out policy. 7 is about right for me.

IMO, nice, thought out, versatile, and useable collections, vs. unlimited $ shopping spree instant collections.

Hi! This is my watch collection and the stories to go with the watches!

1) Rolex Oysterdate precision roulette date which was handed down from my Grandfather who bought it when he got a promotion in the army in 1956

2) Omega Moonwatch professional was to celebrate passing a significant set of exams

3) Loungines legend diver was to mark a new job milestone

4) Rolex explorer was a wedding present

5) TUDOR GMT was to remember a recent publication

6) Submariner HULK 116610LV to mark a second job milestone

Next on my list is a subC no date!

What brands were you looking at for a perpetual calendar?

Maybe take advantage of the 5990 premium at over $100,000?

Royal oak perpetual in black or white ceramic would be absolutely killer if you like ceramic.
Lange dato perpetual?
Patek makes beautiful dress perpetuals
FP Journe if you are in to independents

Thanks! Think I’m trading up the 116520 for. 116500LN then I reckon I’ll be done. Wear them all, I just like the ceramic Daytona better as a watch to wear as it’s more durable.

It’s taken 9 years to get here... I tried to make every purchase different and a bit special. Milgauss = only ever tinted Crystal, BLNR = first 2 tone Ceramic Bezel they made, Kermit = Green Bezel, maxi dial with traditional case, then the classic Dayonta....

Appreciate the feedback

That’s a great collection, especially the submariner LV and the Milgauss Z blue which really stand out in your collection!

Very similar indeed.

My daughter says that all of them look the same

And a 1976 Navitimer not in shot as in for service...

Question is where to go next.

GMT with some colour seems logical as i’ve basically got 3 divers and 3 variants on an explorer aside the vintage... probably need to flip a couple to free up space and ensure they all get some use.

If it was me.... flip the ranger and bbr, flip the Rolex oyster and buy a BLRO/BLNR. Quality not quantity. IMO the 58, explorer are the two stars to build the collection around

Good luck!

I think you are pretty much bang on. BBR, Ranger and then OP39 or explorer out for a Batman - if I can actually find one - my AD just lost Rolex...

Did you get your watchbox from Amazon? I think I may have the same model! (As well as the same Explorer)

Entirely possible - been a while since I purchased it - remember thinking it was decent for the cheap price tag!
