Agree. It's my favourite AP watch. I actually rate it higher than 5711A. It's also quite difficult to find nowadays I think. Although easier than 5711A

Man. That is a beautiful watch. I am a Patek Guy. Never seen that watch. Nicer than the Nautilus by a long shot. Beautiful dial. This thread is bad form my bank account.

In total agreement Ben. I remember debating long and hard between the two a few years back when the 5711 was still attainable. I went with the 15202. I prefer the 15202 still, but the insane appreciation in value on the 5711 admittedly makes it more attractive now.

5711R is going to do some huge business when Ben starts posting insane pics of his, he's destroyed the willpower of the AP forumites, the PP guys are next.

I don’t have a lot of watch regrets but letting go the 15202 is one. I’d love to get the YG 15202.

I regret letting mine go too. But I'm sure we had our reasons at the time.

There should be no regrets... you had your reason at the time and it's still valid. You should also view it as opening the door to acquiring another piece you like more, namely the 5167.

Weak US dollar. This is only the beginning... Other brands will follow

This increase is worldwide by approximately the same percentage - so it's not because of currency fluctuations. Clearly, such a dramatic increase is a reaction to the grey market in this case.

Because Patek already took a lot of profit by pricing it way high.

You're right about that Tom!

I keep wanting to join the AP family again. But I can't see myself picking anything other than the 15202. Maybe sooner than later.

I just looked at the 5711/1A-010 and price is there at $24,840 USD. It was listed in CHF prior.

I live in NYC, so this has been a topic that's come up a lot lately, but I don't get why Giants fans wouldn't be all in on the Pats. What animosity would you have towards us, as you're the only team to beat us in the SB (twice, I might add!).

Plus, the more we win, the more it makes those victories and Eli's HoF candidacy more impressive.

It’s a complete NY v. Boston rivalry, most obvious with the Yankees and the Sox. Knicks and Celtics battled it out in the 70s and 80s. Runs deep.

I have no idea how to bet this game. I’m hoping the line gets a little lower so I can buy points down to Pats -2.5. Otherwise, I might tease them and the under.

And, traitors? You really want us back right now?

I am mainly in Patek & rolex , patek for its complications & history, rolex as real sport durable watches , I think now both brands are making big mistake by raising price & limiting supply , they are pushing new generation who can be interested in mechanical watches away , & benefiting other brands , as there are other high end v well made brands , personally I will not join this hype created by rolex & patek ..
