This may be a long shot, but I’m super close to pulling the trigger on a Seamaster 300 heritage platinum (the same one you posted about years ago), and you’re quite possibly the only other person on the internet (I can find) who has one.
Is there any chance at all that I could possibly ask you a few questions about it?
I’m terrified to buy it without getting an honest owner’s opinion, and it’s too far away for me to see in the metal...

My only nit with this watch is the "red" lettering. I know red and white make pink but it seems like they could have done a better job making the "Speedmaster" more red than pink.

Tried it on yesterday at an AD. What a great piece! The sales rep told me there’s 10 people currently on the list and they’re taking full payment up front.

I ordered through my AD about a month ago with a refundable deposit of 20%.

Now that I’ve actually tried it on, I can’t wait!

My local AD has not received one yet they said they were told July/August. I did receive a call from a Boutique that I had put my name down on and they offered me one. I already have one as I got one from a Boutique upon release.

I tried on a display model at the Istanbul airport last week.... it wears a little small for my tastes, but looks fantastic! They sold their last one a day before I visited, supposedly, but I now have a deposit down at my AD back in the states......

I had the good fortune of spotting a White Speedy at the Omega Boutique
at Hongkong International Airport while in transit about a week ago.

It was displayed in a stand alone case as an "Exclusive Preview" and the
Rep said that it was not for sale. But after a good chat they said they could
sell it to me because they were satisfied I was not a reseller.

It was absolutely gorgeous, and the lacquered white dial is, well, quite an
unbelievable bright white! And of course I did buy it.

The price was HKD63,900 (net, no taxes or fees), and there was the added
bonus of a Hongkong airport promotion that resulted in a voucher for HKD1400
usable at any store inside the airport, valid for a 6 month period.

Mine arrived on 5/31 into the boutique. Inquired via email to the OB in March. Absolutely love this thing! Will try to post a pic shortly. First watch thats made it a full week in rotation in awhile.
