Take 2 steps backwards out of Cinderella Land, who in there right mind is going to point to what is potentially a fake Rolex and say that they choose that over what is potentially REAL if they did't know better?

I'd just politely say "nice".

Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery....so if the guy couldn't/wouldn't pony up for the 'real deal' you can still show respect him for his champange taste on a beer budget.

"ROLEX" font was wrong and second hand didn't sweep in the correct way, too much "tick" not enough "thrum", really it wasn't even a good fake and I didn't have to look very hard to spot those flaws.
I think he knew that his was/is fake but didn't think I would know and/or had too much confidence in the "quality" of his fake. |
