Cool tool to have for simplicity, but why spend that much for a tool? I use a normal spring bar tool and some care. Haven't scratched any of my watches yet!

Compress one side of the spring bar, push up the end link, and move to the other side; re installing is just as easy.

Which spring bar tool do you use? I believe Rolex bracelets need a 1.0 mm fork. The smallest one I have is 1.2 mm on my Bergeon 6767-F.

I use some generic one of that Bergeon I think. The tip is actually a double headed tip; one side is very small and sharp. It's worked for all of my watches. Never had a slip or mishap yet

Xactly. The issue are the tip ends. For Rolex they need to be very narrow (1mm says the gentleman above).

Both of my Rolexes (DJ and Exp II) are older models with holes in the case. My Tudor Black Bay isn’t and it was a real pain to change the bracelet for a band. I managed without the tweezer tool by using a spring bar tool on one side and using a wooden toothpick to hold that side open while I was doing the other side. It was a pain, but it worked. It would still be better with the tweezer tool, I thought there were some available for less than $190 but I don’t really know.

Couldn't find them in the states since they were on backordered last month. So I ordered the Bergeon 7825 from HS Walsh in the UK.

Will the Bergeon 7825 also work for the Tudor Black Bay?

I probably have that tool also. It was sold by Otto Frei as the FB-504 and is equivalent to the Bergeon 6111. But the smaller fork tip is still 1.20 mm wide and would have to be forced into the 1.0 mm endlink gap, something I don't want to do.

I guess a cheaper alternative to the 7825 are the Horofix pliers in sillo38's link that Otto Frei also sells, but be aware they are made in China.

Is this horrifix any good? It’s substantially less expensive!

I bought it and returned it. Both forks broke the first time I used it.
It’s much too complicated a design for something as simple as a pair of tweezers.

You get what you pay for. Bergeron is expensive as hell but it will last. Good quality stuff. I wish I had the disposable income for one of their lathes to screw around with. 35k would go to a trackman before that.

I’m kinda curious why people are paying so much for the bergeon 7825 when you can get it much cheaper here!

Because its 1.2mm wide which wont fit a Rolex, needs to be 1.0mm. Also, it has a fixed tip which is not replaceable in case of breakage, damage or wear.

I’d appreciate it if someone could tell me whether or not the 7825 would work with the Tudor Black Bay.

They can be found on eBay right now for ~$170 shipped from the UK. I couldn’t find one domestically ATM.

Got my "fulfilled" email with tracking # about an hour after I placed the order. Those folks are fast!

I recently posted on the first page where they are for sale in the US for $139 but they sold out yesterday. I’m sure they will get more.

I just got off the phone with this company and you guys placed orders for over 20 of these things in the last 2 days. The guy on the phone thought I was giving a class or something and told everyone to go out and buy one HAHA. They will be getting more of them in on around the 15th of March for those of you who missed out this go around. He said to watch the webpage and when they come in and are placed in inventory, it will allow you to add it to the cart.
He said that they are the largest US distributor of Bergeon so they can get whatever you need. Good to know.
