Thanks everyone. I have to admit, there are more of us "small wristers" than I anticipated. Been on the forums everyday looking for a gently used Pam 111. Wish me luck!

I'd like to ask the OP a question - have you started your strap shopping yet???

I took really like the 111, but am unsure due to having small wrists.

I have been researching the Panerai watches, and I find the best information on this forum which has been my go to source for information about my Rolex. It is both funny and ironic. It is also a testament to the quality of the forum.
Thanks everyone who posted pictures. I remain on the fence. Looking at their GMT 8 day power reserve. It is driven by an in house movement and appears to operate in a similar manner to my GMT 2C. I have puny hairless 6.5" wrists. I like Panerai, but I tend to try to avoid attracting attention. Your pictures have nudged me towards the 44mm. Thanks. I guess it is back to the AD to see how it looks. How is the weight of a SS 44mm Panerai on a Stainless band. I use the GMT function frequently during my travels. A metal bracelet is important to me because I like to exercise daily and I sweat a lot. I don't want to leave an expensive watch in my room so I wear it. I guess what I am asking is whether a 44mm Panerai is a tool watch. |

I've never owned a SS 44mm with a bracelet, but I will guess that the weight will be significantly more than the GMT2C. I have a GMT2C in my rotation and I am always struck by the feather like weight (after switching from larger watches). Good luck! ![]() |

Thanks, I might try the rubber strap. I have had good experiences with a bracelet so I will start there. Also, my understanding is that it is easy to put a strap on a bracelet model, but expensive to put a bracelet on a strap model. By defaulting to a bracelet model I keep my options open.

Yesterday I tried on a couple different 44mm Luminors. The one on a strap wore a lot smaller than the one on the bracelet. Whereas the bracelet looked to big for my 6.5" wrist, the strap looked great. I was surprised at the difference it made.

I wonder if the weight had a lot to do with the difference. |

It took me 3 years to decide and finally bought a 005 and couldn't be happier! I also have a 6.5 inch wrist and its just perfect. Now I want to get another Pam...with a sandwich dial this time...
