Making it a sticky won't do anything, a lot here haven't even read the rules, let alone a sticky...

Sure thing. That would be a waste of time.

Doesn’t bother me.
For the money Rolex charges for a watch, they ought to fix it, if only to stop anymore questions about crown orientation.

This does make sense. Maybe if going diving tighten it a bit more, but for everyday use, the above statement works if the angle bothers you.

Well explained

Having the crown half screwed in would make me more anxious than an upside down crown. It does not bother me at all but as the OP just thought I would inquire.

This is the 21st century: why does anyone care about their crown’s orientation?

I just noticed my crown is at 2,6753268 degrees from the North, what should I do?

A simple fact metal to metal contact does not make a W/R seal the main seal is inside the case. The other seals are secondary the one in the crowns head its only job is just to seal the end of the crown tube.So even if its slightly unscrewed it will still be doing its job,and after many years of use the seal will wear. Thus the emblem if it first lined up which in real world makes no difference whatsoever where it is, will move over the years.Perhaps Rolex should get rid of the crown emblem then everyone's winding crown would line up somewhere, thats if it supposed to line up with anything. But if they did that what would most of today's Rolex owners have to moan and groan about.

I like that it doesn’t line up. I also like to wear ripped jeans and my shirts un-tucked.

Haven’t been so lucky over my last few purchases. Surprisingly, I had two perfectly aligned Omega pieces. Go figure...

Auto manufacturers pull the same scam.

Do you know how long it takes me to park so that the Lexus logos on the wheels are properly oriented like they are in the ads?

noticed this morning that the lids on my new contact case have the "walmart" and "1800contacts" logos aligned with each other. i chuckled to myself, thinking what are the odds.

i removed the case from the plastic wrapper and found the lids tight.

Shh...read at whisper volume, then destroy:
Several years ago I conversed with an experienced watch salesman working in a local flea market, and he shared this secret solution about the well-known Rolex crown problem: Hold the crown steady at eye level with your right thumb and forefinger, then with your left hand rotate the rest of the watch to achieve your preferred crown alignment. Takes just seconds, and it should hold til your next manual rewind/reset.
