Nr. 1 is the Blue dial 5711 for me.

I had a 5980r (strap), but didn't feel comfortable (too heavy for me)

Instead of the 5980r, I bought a 5711r (also strap). This works much better.

Lovely triple.

Can you post a few more comparison pics of 5711R and 15202OR, the rose gold colour looks very different?

Both 5711 and 5712 are great. The blue dial seems to change shade depending on the light conditions. I opted for the additional complications of the 5712 but also covet a white 5711 to compliment it. Neither are bad choices

I've got the 5711 blue and would like to add a 5990 or 5980 black dial...probably 5990.

What is up with that clasp ? Not very user friendly for a watch this pricey. I thought I was going to break it the first few times.

Everybody complains about the clasp but has anyone really had a problem with it? I wear my 5711 regularly, it's been two years and no problem. My 5960 1A had the same clasp and it was perfect. I like the low profile and it's seamlessly integrated with the bracelet, the Rolex clasp seems more secure but it's large, bulky, and gets scratches. It's not adjustable but you can always get a 1.5 link.

My problem is it's very unnatural to open. It's like stuck then it comes flying open and it is not reassuring on such a delicate bracelet.

I did like the integration and such but smoother action would be nice. IMHO of course.

I agree you have to give it a good yank and it does fly open but once you know what to expect it's ok, at least to me it is. My Aquanaut which seemed better at first used to pop open by itself, not often but if I flexed my wrist sometimes. I thought the best Nautilus clasp was the one on the strap but you had to have the right hole locations to get a good fit. Do you still have your 5711 white dial?

Yup, clasp is pretty shocking at first. It's all very well on the SS but to have the same on the RG is damned unconscionable! But yes you soon get used to it and not an issue now.

I agree once you know the routine it's not a major issue. And it does get old hearing people complain about the clasp endlessly. Maybe patek is listening

Sold my 5711. Nothing wrong with the watch just something wrong with me

Love the AC function. Nothing beats the old world elegance of a moon phase indicator

I love them ALL but I am partial to the 5712. Its thin, which is in tradition with the original, with a great color transition dial. The complications and asymmetry give it real character and its super comfortable.
