I have both and would lean towards the OF. It is just a beautiful watch and can dress up or down.

Congratulations!

It’s not even a discussion. Between these two, WG OF Meteorite!

SS is more versatile. OF ghost dial is better looking for sure.

I far like the WG one over the SS but the above answer is mine as well. I’m not a far of the OF with dress clothes.

Dude, easiest decision ever. Obviously you keep the meteorite version!

Congrats on the call! For my money and preference, I'd do whatever I could to put a WG bracelet on that model and have a super Daytona. Full WG Meteorite.

Will the OF models accept a metal bracelet?

That makes the decision a lot easier and that’s coming from a SS owner. The meteorite dial on that oysterflex is just stunning. One of my favourite pieces of all.

Huge congrats

Interesting to see the love for the WG OF here!

My AD yesterday said that if I want one they may be able to supply it in the coming months . . . I tried on the demo and definitely liked it.

In SS I always prefer the black dial but on black OF, I think that I would this "ghost" over the black dial WG.

Symmetrical lugs please. Therefore, the WG on OF is the only choice for me here.

Which do you find getting more wrist time?

I'm still leaning towards the (ghost) steel dial when "forced" to choose.

SS black dial. Try as I might I just can’t get behind precious metal on a rubber strap.

I was going to say SS before you introduced the meteorite as an option. I don’t own one, have handled it, and would pick it over either SS.

I am a bracelet fan and if the WG was on bracelet that is the choice. The SS is a classic and with it on the bracelet it is my choice.

I always prefer a bracelet, on a luxury watch. No contest, IMO. Also, I wouldn’t freak out if scratched my SS watch, but probably would if I scratched my white gold one. In a sense I’d feel “more free” wearing the SS version.

I used to strongly prefer the SS version because I though a full bracelet was always better. Then I got both watches. Now I know that not only is the OF great but the dial on the 519 is amazing and the overall feel of the 519 is light years more special and significant than the SS version.

I think most people that own both agree with this. Until you own them, you just don’t know.

I’ve been in the same boat for years. Have the black 116500 and desire the silver dial 116519…. I was waiting on the WG OF from my AD, but it never came through for me. I think it could still be an add at some point, but I can’t part with the 116500

In the meantime I have a few strap options for mine while scratch the OF itch and keep it feeling fresh.

And of course the original oyster:
