The white dial is really dynamic under the light as others have mentioned. Definitely can’t go wrong with this one.

Right?!! Of course, it’s completely a matter of preference. And a company like AP would never make a “bad” or “ugly” or “wrong” dial…. But from all the love white seems to be getting on this thread and several others I’ve searched, it seems to be the flagship AP color, if you will.

Before I get shot down, I know the original jumbo was blue and “blue will always be blue”. But take away the hype and just see how the white shows off the tapeserie dial and plays off the polished finishes, links, etc.

I’m not a fan of watches with light of white dials. Just looks cheap to me. YMMV

Don't worry man... One day if AP make a white dial RO boutique exclusive or LE, people will start saying the white dial ROs are the next best thing since the discovery of electricity! As we have observed with the white dial 116500...

Spot on my friend. Which is why I made my earlier comment that at times, the hype and resale value of a watch may drive public perception and “desirability”. Not to say the blue isn’t gorgeous and that I wouldn’t be happy to own one. But, to your point, another clearly beautiful (and popular, judging by this thread) color may not get as much attention. And sometimes some hate. lol

I really liked the grey but I’ve always heavily leaned towards wearing black dials….. I like lighter colors but I always trend to reach for the black dials
Part of me likes the idea of adding the grey dial but part of me worries I will gravitate back to preferring the darker dials. ….. I’m glad to hear of your continued preference for your silver dial

This looks great btw. There is no wrong dial choice, I wear blue a lot so I request blue dials but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like silver/black/grey or green.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but what does everyone think about the panda dials?

There are only a few attributes that make a Royal oak a Royal oak….it’s steel and it’s blue

Haha that’s the right answer! Did you get both from the boutique? Curious what allocations look like for models when you have the predecessor

Yes I did, the 15500 in 2020 and the 15510 in 2022. I had been down for the blue dial for some time. I got lucky with the white dial initially as we were in semi lockdown, so not a lot of movement and travel going on.

Blue dial watches have always been my favourite colour (I’ve a few) and this probably tops the, all, but ironically I get a lot more comments on the white dial.

Blue is the best dial variation in my opinion, closely followed by white/silver.

I like how the blue date is a perfect match for the dial, but the white date is too white vs its dial...
