This Oakley........ used a battery, and had NO date, let alone numbers....... Got a great deal on it and hated it immediately. Turned around and sold it on eBay making a profit. The nicest part about it was the hard Oakley Watch travel case ha ha ha ha.
I'm also probably one of the biggest Oakley Fan Bois' you will meet too.

SD4K. The watch didn't disappoint me. I was disappointed that I couldn't bond with it

In the last year I have owned two Omega Speedmasters. The 9300 44.25 mm and the original with the plastic crystal in 42mm. I love the look and history of the Speedmaster line but both watches wore not to my liking. The metal bands were not right in sizing and fit and even with the leather and NATO I did not like the way it wore. I am going to give either the Grayside of the Moon or one of the other in that line a try.

I've owned both and now only own the pre-ceramic. I agree that the new bracelet is fantastic but the older style not looking half-decent? I don't understand what you mean... I think most would have a hard time telling them apart, even a wis

To the op's question, I will also have to say the 42mm exp ii. Went to ad to buy as I love it in pictures but proportions just felt off.

Breitling Heritage SO 46. Spur of the moment but at the airport. Much too big and uncomfortable and blingy.

Similar to the previous concerns with the Exp ii, I thought the proportion changes to the sub-c changed the lines. Wider lugs, sits higher, thicker bezel. GMT too. Seems the bezel is more prominent than the dial. It Certainly occupies more real estate. I went to AD buy a GMT-c based on pictures and walked out with an Exp ii. But the old bracelet really was a Rolex weakness.

Patek 5980, JLC reverso, blancpain bathyscaphe chrono just to name a few. Couldn't get them off my wrist fast enough after thinking I would love em.

In 2002ish maybe later, I had a FM king conquistador and it was terrible to me. Turned me off the brand forever. In the end I smashed it to pieces (crystal and case damage) while playing football of all things and sold it after the repair.

Corum Admiral Cup. Bought it on impulse when I was a newbie then. Liked and worn it for about a week and went downhill rapidly. Sold and long gone.

Stamped steel, flimsy designs and lack of adjustability... Rolex did not even try! Note, it is not like technology did not exist. JLC, Vacheron, Glashutte Original, Patek, Omega, Panerai, etc., were able to produce superior bracelets during the same period of time.

I did not like the lugs on the Nomos either. Made the watch wear too large on my wrist. However the most disappointing piece was the Louis Moinet Geograph. It is not a bad watch just much larger than I had envisioned and the dials were not as easy to read as I had hoped.
The Breitling air wolf Chrono was another disappointment. Very large and the back was uncomfortable on my wrist and if my shirt sleeve came into contact with the crown-- would turn the setting. |

I understand that and agree that new bracelet is superior but you said "look half decent" that's all I was questioning as I think the look of the older bracelets vs new ones are pretty close.

U-Boat 1000s of feet, I thought it looked great, an even better version of the Bell&Ross "instument" style watch, but I did not realize it was 50mm! The thing wore like a truck axle. I gave it a solid year but eventually sold it. On a reverse note I picked up a Bell&Ross BR03-92 (42mm) for a friend at a great deal not expecting much but it's actually a fantastic watch and suprised us with it's quality, comfort and value.

Girard Perregaux Evo 3 Ti. I purchased the watch NOS discounted from the current market price. Crown came loose, lost winding function. AD fixed it. Second timer began to have issues, AD fixed it. Sold it back with a smile....All within a few months of ownership.
GP is very difficult to deal with. Will never purchase another watch from that manufacturer. |

The Moonwatch for me. My father bought one new twenty years ago and sparingly wore it. Now it's in my possession and I can understand why: very photogenic in pics but underwhelming on the wrist. Uncomfortable to wind, horrible bracelet, absolutely overrated watch IMHO.

So you are meaning an early sub? Mine from 01 has solid links and is pre ceramic. It has a good bit of adjustment and the only thing I wish it had is the glidelock.

Tried a 47 mm Panerai homage piece, as people said it wasn't too big for my wrists. I wore it 3 times trying to like it but there's no way. Way way too big. So a friend decided I should forget the homage and told me the real deal would be better, offered me his for a few days, there's just no way I could ever love it.

http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=24666 I may be wrong but I am quite certain that when I was looking for mine, I saw several posts referring to the SpeedMaster Pro as SMP. Doesn't really make a difference so I will concede that you win for the sake of harmony |

SMP is SeaMaster Pro... And I agree, certainly a watch that does NOT disappoint. :)

I dislike the look of the chrono pushers and never warmed up to the sub dial chrono Patek seems to favor. I much prefer the 5726/1a...which seems to be be black sheep around here I think I like black sheep
