Platinum in the sun the beauty of platinum cannot be described until you see and feel it in person you have not a watch there but a great Patek timepiece I also bought my first Patek with your same train of thought and so glad I picked a platinum timepiece it is incredible and unforgettable. Can you post pics of the movement also please hiding the numbers. Here's my 5110p movement so beautiful to look at also a Patek is really something else.

Beautiful choice, congrats. The retrograde date is an interesting complication.

Gorgeous. One of the most underrated pcals in their current line. Great pics. Love it!

I saw that. Thanks! Hopefully good for 5496p owners. Could be an added benefit, but whatever it is, we'll wait and see.

Thank you! The dial, like most of the Patek dials, is so dynamic.

I agree. I also looked closely at the 5159 retrograde PC, but there was no platinum version. If there were, it would have been a very tough decision.

Thank you! I love your blue 5140p, too! It was neck and neck between the two. I got to try on a used 5140p blue dial right before buying my 5496...it is stunning. The one I tried was not in a condition I was comfortable with, so I passed. I look forward to seeing what the new 5140s will be this year as it looks like the line is due for a change. But you have such a wonderful watch that is a winner and not easily found these days!

There are many Patek watches made, but only a small number of them are in platinum. Congratulations on this very fine watch! You will definitely enjoy wearing it!
