I would go SD 43 Steel only. Why get 2? Unless you love the TT better, get whichever you like best.

buy both only if it is "buy one, get the 2nd one half price off!" sort of a bundle

Do you want them? I once got offered a ferris wheel at what I feel was a pretty reasonable price, but I ultimately said no, as I really didn't want to buy a ferris wheel.

I really like them both and would have a hard time making that decision. If you are in a position financially to buy both I would, then decide which to keep. It should become obvious which you get excited reaching for.

I could totally add a TT SD43 to my SS SD43, if Rolex were to make a blue dial TT SD43 that is. So if you like them both, absolutely.

Well today many think of nothing more investment £$€, Rolex watches were once bought to be worn and enjoyed, but thats now a thing of the past which is a shame.

If you already have a SS SD43 then no to a second one. Getting another to pass on is a non starter for me as I would buy something different to add to my collection. A more diverse collection and some different wearing options would be my thought process. Depending on you sons age now it might be a lot of money tied up for a long time. If he is old enough, just buy it for him so he can enjoy it while you are alive. The TT is not for me and I would go with a DSSD JC which I find to be a more interesting watch.

Seriously? Do you also seek legal/medical advice from strangers on the web in turn?

No. Why own the two tone. Is s sport watch and PM really has not business in a sport watch unless the intent is that you like bing and like to be noticed. In that case go all out. But there is no functional utility in a PM sport watch at all. Leave the PM to the DD or Patek/jlc, etc.

Only buy the ONE you want most. Dont be "that guy" that buys up inventory because its offered to them. Let someone else have a chance at a nice msrp Rolex.

If you like them, and can afford it, why not? I'm waiting on a SS SD43 - 6 months and counting, from my AD. So this is a great opportunity for you.

I’ve owned a TT seadweller and although it was a perfect size for my large wrist it was a little bit boring to me. I believe it’s because the dial is a matte black. A little boring for my liking. I enjoy the Rolex dials that change in different lighting.

Also I believe I paid 16,000 even about 6 months ago. And when I went to sell it, it took some time. I believe I lost a few hundred. Which isn’t bad at all but I don’t think 16,500 is the deal if a lifetime.
