I think you answered most of your own questions, pal.

Well, the GMT-II is definitely the MOST practical watch in the collection. It has professional features which any layman can use and WILL use some time or the other in his life.

On the other hand, the SD is a professional diver's watch....and has features which 99.99999% of us can never even dream of using. It is a superb watch, no doubt....but if it's practicality you're looking for, then look no further than a GMT-II....then you also have the option of owning THREE different bezels to add some variety in your life.
