Then it was a win-win! Now you both have something to enjoy. I’ve also bought jewelry from my AD simply because they have nice pieces at fair prices. They have a no-bundling policy, which can be good or bad, depending on how you look at it.

Well it was jewelry I was going to buy regardless. I did my homework and I paid the same or less than any other non Rolex Jeweler in the area or online high end custom jewelers.

The profit is the profit. As an informed consumer all I can do is make sure I don’t overpay compared to the going rates in the marketplace. I am confident I did not overpay for the jewelry by dealing with a jeweler that happens to also be a Rolex AD.

Makes more sense now, glad it all worked out for you in the end. And if the rumors are true and the Pepsi does get discountinued then you might have gotten one of the last ones.

No one know if the rumors are true but 1 thing is for sure ADs have been getting next to nothing in the last 6 to 8 months when it comes to Pepsi's.

Awesome! I placed my indication of interest on a Pepsi on Oyster last summer without a major purchase...just a few nice watches that I love to wear here and there. I doubt I'll ever get a call. Ah, well. Here's to hoping the watch isn't discontinued here in a few weeks...

Well played! Was waiting for my Pepsi at 2 ADs for over a couple years and went grey. Good on you for bringing up a deal to them and getting what you want.

Hope everyone loves their jewelry/watches

Kudos for making this play. Clearly a no-brainer if you want the jewelry. This is a variation of the "engagement ring play" where after you lock in the ring you of course now need a groom's gift for the wedding AKA Sub/GMT.

Congratulations OP! And great way of leveraging your jewelry purchase in a way that benefits yourself!

I did the same, While on vacation in Dubai my wife wanted tu buy a gold watch in late 2022. She decided on a Ladys JLC 18k reverso, I told her she could have it... just not in Dubai, as my local Rolex AD offer JLC too.

I let my SA and AD know I steered that purchase to them, they were grateful. They did manage to get for me a Green Op41 and a BLRO in 2023. AFTER my JLC purchase.
