My favourite Daytona/dial - if I were to want one, that would be it.

If I see you in person I'd knock you out and cut your wrist off and take your watch.

Lol

So gore huh? But I'd do that - seriously. Mwahaha

And this is exactly why I don't wear my expense pieces anywhere where there is even a remote chance of running into someone who could possibly do something of that nature to me. Likewise, it is exactly why I keep my most expensive pieces in my bank security box as well. We have a pretty advanced security system with video monitoring, but I wouldn't be able to sleep at night if I kept my watches around the house...

I can spend hours on these vintage Rolex sites. Shear's site (et al.) has such great info on all the watches he has sold since he started online. Awesome resource...

Q, you are aware Im kidding right? Haha

But I would agree with you, horses for courses, when I travel I take my trusty old Speedmaster Pro or my Vintage 1601 DJ depending on the nature of my trip.

Not exactly "cheap", but cheaper than almost all my collections and they dont send waves of ooh and aah..

LOL! Honestly, you scared me a little! I'm a paranoid person already. Then, because I post these watch pictures online, fuel is added to the fire.

Yeah, it is my favorite too (obviously I guess!). For awhile it seemed like there were only black ones around. I was asking around for white ones a few months ago and not a single one to be found. The Time Traveler only had a black tri-color Newman at that time and no one else that I contacted had any at all (I was considering making a trade for the black one, but couldn't bring myself to do it because I really wanted a white one). Well, there were some around on Chrono24 and Ebay from people with questionable reputations (so the watch histories may have been problematic), and the conditions were also not so amazing. I gave up for a bit and just started looking at other stuff. I was psyched when I randomly asked Andew if he had one and it popped!

Far in the future I would love to have a black one as well. They are both beautiful and amazing aesthetically speaking, but if I can't ever get another one, then I would want this dial.

It's true, I'm a nutcase. I haven't even slept! I've been reading about vintage watches all night... LOL!

I have Friday off, but I should get at least 4-5 hours sleep so I can fall asleep early tomorrow (err, rather, tonight?!!) and make up the rest.

The white/cream is just the mutt's nuts, mate - congrats. As always with vintage, patience pays off. And a fat wad of green and a bit of luck goes a long way. You bought from one of the best, too.
