I don't think Costco will want to sell Rolex for very long if that's how people are thinking of "playing" the return policy. Personally, I'll stick to buying toilet paper at Costco.
No, that's not what you are being told. But Costco will take back anything for a no questions asked full refund in 30 days. Anything. That includes fruit, vegetables, meat, in short things that spoil in less than 30 days.

Their stock is at, or very near to, an al time high. So knock them all you want but something they do works.

The Costco policy placed in this thread earlier is their current policy. They will repair, replace the watch or refund what you paid as long as you have your original Costco registration and receipt. Best warranty I have seen yet on a watch.

Several years ago, I bought my wife a Baume and Mercier watch from Costco. She used it for a couple of years. When the battery died we had it replaced at a jewelry store but in a few days it had fogged up. We went back to Costco and they refunded what we paid for the watch. This is how they roll.

The ultimate purchase experience...dropping your WG sub on the conveyor between 4 loaves of bread and a club pack of sirloins. Hahaha. On a serious note, I suppose if not buying from an AD anyway, it likely doesn't matter as long as the deal is right. I'd be a bit concerned about sending it in for a warranty repair though...

Surprised to see the Smurf, and not a bad price either.

I am not sure how long Costco's warranty lasts but I have heard they are like Sears any problems no mater what they will take it back ... But again maybe not 5 years.

Wonder how old that watch is. Isn't that the old style box? Should it not have the box where the papers are fully "hidden" behind the cover, which then opens up? Or are the full size boxes still this style?

Costco is great to deal with. I returned a 12 y/o beat to hell kayak there this summer for a full refund. Purchased a new one the same day for $25 more. They are true to their work when it comes to returns. Just not on electronics; only a three month return policy on those.

Always get a chuckle out of the few people in these threads that can't handle a rolex being sold at Costco. It's like an attack on their refined rolex loving sensibilities.

I don't shop there myself, but if I did, a rolex in the display case would definitely make me smile.

From what we've seen, the prices are good and there are no questions of authenticity.

A rolex doesn't stop being a rolex just because it's being sold at Costco.

The Rolex warranty goes with the watch. Why would it matter that the watch was purchased at Costco?

Because no warranty card = No warranty from Rolex.

Who needs a Rolex Warranty card when Costco gives a lifetime warranty that's will cover more than Rolex does and will give full money back on watches for reason such as "I'm tired of wearing it" or "I've had it 10 years and my wife decided she doesn't like it anymore." At Costco they keep track of purchases; all you need to know is when you bought it; no receipt is needed.

Fully agree with you, I was simply replying to an earlier question about having Rolex warranty for Costco purchases...

This is a challenge for AD's and grey sellers to adjust their pricing. In the end we all benefit, gives us more arguments to haggle

I have total confidence buying anything at COSTCO! Yes even a Rolex if I ever spot one I like. Don't forget to consider the yearly cash back rewards.

I have to ask you why you returned the kayak after 12 years Lee.

That is just too funny.

It was beat to hell and I wanted a new one. Sat under my deck and got ice damaged.

For me, I know what I want and if the price is right I could care less where it comes from. I would rather have the guy at Costco wearing a red vest take the watch out of the case and be done with the sales process than having to deal with a salesman wearing a cheap suit at an AD / jewelry store.

Once the watch is on my wrist, no one care where it was purchased from or how much I saved or over paid for it!

Rolex will service the watch when the time comes, as for warranty repairs, the percentage of Rolex watches that have defects requiring warranty repairs is so small. the 5yr warranty confirms this, as if there was a measurable amount of warranty work done by Rolex, it would not have been a good business decision.
