Don't knock it til you've tried it

For those who tape up their watches for protection.

I worry about cutting my face when I shave so I find a little duct tape helps protect my delicate skin.

If I was putting tape daily on a watch to keep from scratching it, I'd find something else to wear that didn't make me that neurotic.

That is a bad thing to do. JJ try it and see how he looks now.

What is best a custom Rolex or a Rolex that is stuck in custom?

Buy a professional camera and you´re a professional
photographer, buy a flute and you own a flute.

I think this tape thing is really silly, please tell me your kidding. I only wish I had an occupation where I could wear my watch to work everyday (ie DESK JOB), actually I really don't. I'm a farmer and am thinking about wearing my D serial sub date, or perhaps an old DJ beater next year to the field! Wear the damn watch!

I took an old phone screen protector like clear coat and cut it out to for the clasp. It's the third try and I'm almost at the right size so the bottom has grabbed some lint. On other watches I've use Scotch tape and that would probably be fine for this as well. There's a special Scotch tape that's called gift wrapping Scotch tape and it doesn't have any sheen on it and truly looks like there's nothing there. The challenge with the Rolex clasp is that, in my case, there's the polished center that is above the mat edges and so it's harder to get something to follow those levels perfectly.

Please start a new thread; no need to dig up a decade-old one.
