I received my 25 year old 16760 back from servicing last week and had a new insert fitted.
My old insert was in pretty good condition but I thought I'd just freshen up the watch while it was in.

After reading this thread I pulled out the old insert which had been returned to me.
I have to say there is no sign of fading like the examples shown here
