Gotta love the 2012 15202 just wish that they would left the old style rotor blade.

One of the reasons for the thread was to see all of those amazing shades of the dial. Thanks all! That dial really transforms.

These pics are dangerous... What a dial! These make me want to get the blue 15400 as the 15202 is sadly out of my reach.

do you guys fund that you don't go as sporty/casually dressed with the 15202 vs the 15300/15400? in other words, that jumbo is really more dressy than the 15300?

No reason that the 15202 couldn't be casual but I prefer bigger watches for casual wear and slimmer watches for dressy attire. Ymmv.

The Jumbo is the ultimate Royal Oak. Out of my range for now, but a 15400, which fits beautifully, is on it's way to me...

Good news, Francois-Henry Bennahmias just called me to say that the price for Jumbos is being reduced from the current $22,500 to $1,999!!!

[QUOTE=kilyung;3896188]You need to own both to truly appreciate each one to the fullest.
How is the hue of the blue? Is it darker/flat looking in dim settings but more vibrant/pop in the light/sun? Been thinking of getting the RG version (have the "older" RG 15202 w/ white dial currently).. but not sold on the blue. |

Look what I got to do! 15300 on the left, 15202 on the right. (sorry for the bad pic.) We all know that the 15300 looks beefier, but as a result of the beef, look at how much wider the 15202 dial looks. And when I hold up a ruler to the screen, the 15300 dial is actually slightly wider in the pic (prbly closer to the camera) -- such an optical illusion. Really amazing that two 39mm pieces wear so differently.

Ill play... the 15202's dial changes so beautifully as it hits different light sources at different angles...

Hello Jumbo-a-holics! How would you compare the 2012 15202 to a Patek 5167 Aquanaut? Specifically comfort, weight, thinness, and overall feel?

Thinking of going back to AP with a Jumbo. Can someone tell me how this one wears? I used to have a 15300 which I loved visually but I felt it was a bit too heavy somehow. Especially the bracelet sat very bad on my wrist and I'm hoping the 15202 wears lighter. Hope anyone understands what I mean and could give me some feedback.
I currently wear a lot of Rolex vintage watches and I need that thin, ultra light wear on my wrist. Thanks for the pics btw. Really enables. |
