I have no concern about lume migrating to the movement.

Is the first thing to go when the movement is cleaned for service.

Does not create oxidation or any permanent damage.

So tritium from the hands is more of a risk than from the markers?

Is more of an eye sore.

Hand on my watch were stabilized (not by me), the black spots on the hands are paint from old dial and they are glued to the hand. Hand lume is not going anywhere.

Looking at the dial. Clearly the first one has more dusting of the markers.

I’m going for the second watch; even if I prefer lighter patina.

Well, is this a watch with a story?
The listing says "Pre-Owned Vintage Rolex GMT Master, 1971, Model 1675, MK 5 Black Dial Creamy Markers"

The year should be late 70's for that dial, no?

I have a MK5 and it's a 1978/9 watch. Serial range would be between: 50xxxxx – 59xxxxx

I have the same concerns with my 1675 regarding the hands, I love it but worried if the tritium could break off.
