How does one pick-up an AP?

Just happened to me. I wanted to pay by credit card but couldn't get physically to boutique for a month as am traveling. They would only do credit card if shipping address was same as billing and was also a home with my name on property records! They have outside agency validate for all credit card sales that are delivered. In my case I use a proxy for all my finances/mail so had to wire cash and then they would deliver anywhere I asked. I was told next time will be easier :)

So it sounds like if you can physically make it to a boutique, CC is permitted on first purchases?

Would be a great purchase to be put onto CC even though I’ll have funds available …

Bought an AP last month in NYC 57th boutique. SA texted me that the watch arrived. I set an appointment, came in and pay using 2 credit cards. It was a smooth process!

Got the call that the piece arrived in the store, flew into town, went to boutique, and paid in person using card.

If you are getting the watch shipped, they usually want a wire for the first purchase. CC after the first purchase is not a problem. If in the boutique in person, CC payment is not an issue. That's been my experience.
