I’m doubting this news, as well, because the motif dials were released in the Spring of 2021. It seems like too short of a run, for a supposedly popular dial. I’ll go visit my AD, and get the scoop. I owe them a visit, anyway. I will report back by Monday.

My AD called me to tell me they could no longer source the motif dial i was on the list for and asked if there was another dial i wanted.

I have since requested at 3 other AD's with the same answer, one of them told me in writing that Rolex had discontinued the motif!

Maybe . I had two 116718/116719 dials changed in the UK Last year , The yellow had a black dial, swapped to Green I then bought the old dial and hands back; The White Gold had a black dial swapped out for the blue again bought the parts back . I can hear it now, It didn't happen lol.

While talking with the service guy ,I asked I have two SS Black Daytonas ,could I swap it too white , absolutely no way . He said another is people wanting to swap out on SS Skydweller to the blue is a no way sir.

I would go look for a motif dial now if you need one

Daytona Platinum you can swap out from STD dial to Baguettes. but they insist you can't buy the dial back . but you can on the GMT, I think they make it up as they go along tbh

Another TRF member recently posted a link to a Rolex patent for an updated YM2 movement. New YMII movement, new watch coming soon. I am excited. I wear 44mm well and liked the Yacht Master II. Fun watch with an interesting Chronograph.

My AD knows nothing about this, and they own 3 Rolex ADs here in northern CA. They had a big Rolex meeting yesterday morning. Wouldn’t they all have this info? Also, the motif dials are still on the configurator.

I was in one of my ADs today they have 50 UK outlets . I showed him the post and what our experts have to say . He said its old news and if you wait you will see .

Don't forget to revisit this post in April after Watches and Wonders

Lastly I asked about the Pepsi, He is showing four this quarter and said nothing indicates its going but ask your experts they will know more than him, lol

I defer to your expertise, Sir. Well, that stinks. My guess is they’ll release different motif dials. Hopefully, they discontinue the Wimbledon, and my new watch goes up in value…..

Personally, unless someone shows me this in writing or Rolex decides to remove from their website, I am calling this fake news.. Only time will tell!!

My YMII is one of my favorite watches and I’m so glad it’s loathed on this forum because it means it will always remain left field. I wouldn’t want it any other way. Fingers crossed there’s a modicum of truth in this hearsay.
