Not sure about the UK market at all but couldn’t this mean people aren’t buyIng at huge premiums and they built too much inventory and are haveing a cash flow issue offering so little?

They have a 15450 the same age at £12,650, and a BLNR at just over £9k.

Wow!

That's absolutely nuts! A few months back their offers were pretty fair, but they've basically turned into a fancy, lowballing pawnbroker!

Bit of a result today, popped into Wempe and didn’t get the warmest of receptions considering there was three members of staff and no one else in there, really did look me up and down but then I was in a hoodie and cap haha shame as last time I was there they seemed more friendly.

Anyway I popped into the PP salon and after waiting for 10mins the assistant came over for a chat and then it turns out he’s friends with a good AD friend of mine, anyway after a good chat I left with a good idea of where my collection will head.

I think this is happening too as they do have quite a lot of stock and are refusing to buy some pieces they already have, but they won't reduce their ask prices, in fact their BLNR prices are now at 9.3K just so you know what buying at 5K means, so as the spreads get wider we have two reasons not to deal with them now.

Prices are going up and the watches are selling, its just the offers that are going down. They have a lot of inventory in general so it could be cash flow or their position in the market which is close to a monopoly.

honestly i would cut them all some slack. They were probably looking to see if you pulled up in a moped. Everyone is a bit edgy

Yep there position in the market clearly dictates they are selling but they do cycle the inventory and know they mark some as sold which have just been pulled and pop back up a couple of weeks later!

No biggy mate, been treated far worse it was just a shame as my first visit to them was quite welcoming, wonder if I had of said you recommended them the reception would of been better

More with AP to be honest, but from a PP point of view I’m going to bypass the 5990a for now, it’s an amazing piece but given how my collection is going I don’t think it would be diverse enough to fit in until the collection builds.

From a PP perspective the Aquanaut is what fits the bill and would work really well with the RO, sleeker lines and not so angular plus somewhat under the radar.

The Bond St. Patek Philippe boutique is the best AD I’ve ever experienced. Their customer service is second to none. I’ve bought twice from them and even before my first purchase, they verified a watch I was buying privately and sized an Aquanaut strap for me without charge.

That's nice, Wempe wanted to charge me £50 for a strap change. I said, have Watchfinder bought you guys out already?
