Tough to say without trying on the new Exp II or even seeing it in person... I would pick up the Sub now and if you like the EXP when it comes out and dont mind paying a premium grab one

New Exp II for me (preferrably w/ white dial)! SubC is too common.

Leaning towards the explorer although have to wear it first before I'm sure. Looking for a daily wearer for my next watch and the explorer will fit the bill.

I was struggling with that same question. If I could only get one watch, it would be the Sub-C. If I get a second Rolex, it would definitely be the new EXP-II in White. So far I'm really happy with my Sub-C.

Is it not funny that most of the people that have the sub c listed as their watch prefer the sub c?
I prefer the exp 2; but my next purchase will be the gmt2c. |

I don't know if it is funny...
...but the Sub C I think is a little more classic / traditional / multipurpose than the new Exp II which is clearly a little more on the sporty side. I think if you only could have one and planned to wear it for all occasions, the Sub C blends in better and would look more appropriate with dress clothes as well as casual. The Exp II seems a little more casual. That said, I love it and have my name on the list. Frankly watches often look different in the flesh than in photos so it is really hard to make a good call until they start rolling in.

EXP II with white dial, but want to see it in the flesh before taking things further.
Much prefer the Sub without date or ceramic. Choices, choices, choices !! |

I'm a fan of EXPII's (39mm) and bought two for sons with black face. But, here I'd go Subc. A bit more classic, and I see no reason to be excited about a mm added on each side of the Exp case. To me, this is no kind of watchmaking accomplishment.
