Personally I like original cases where possible, but my main issue isn’t with polished watches, it’s with badly polished watches. As Rolex’s have been status symbols since the 80’s for every one that’s been wel maintained with servicing a good quality polishing, there are 3 that have simply been shoved under a polishing wheel to make them shiny again and now resemble a 2 week old bar of soap.
