The main thing is buy what you love to wear.
For me if it's the same price, I like TT better than SS, I would go with TT. In your case, TT is cheaper, definitely I would go with TT but if you like SS more than TT, go with SS.

Many feel uncomfortable with TT because more appear and prefer SS. I think TT is an excellent daily watch

I really don’t understand why the green Anniversary Subs are not no dates? The date Sub came out in 1966/67, and the original in 1953. Meaning, in 2003 the 50th anniversary Sub (original Kermit with date) was incorrect — it should have been a no date. The 50th anniversary of the Sub with date was 2016.
