I agree.

I would go for BLNR too because it wears better with business suit (thinner) and the GMT is useful for my kind of work.

More importantly, it add some colour. This is why I went for the LVc as well and not the Sub LN.

I'm struggling with this decision right now. I can get both for about the same price and this will be my only watch for a while. Blue isn't my favorite color, but I do like it. I'm Simone who typically wants something to stick out from the crowd, but am worried about clashing with outfits and don't want to feel pressured to try to wear blue to match. Any thoughts?

Own both (though hate the "batman/bruiser" designation)... I travel a lot so the GMT would be so hard to give up but somehow I have become a little more attached to the SD4K. Maybe just because it's newer.

You have to try them both and then decide IMO. The polished center links of the GMT give it a more showy look. I would personally never wear the SD4K with a suit.

It looks like you have a Sub-C, so I would say BLNR on this one!

I'm biased because I have the SD4000 but to me its the best current SS sports model. BLNR is 2nd for me but if it was all brushed they would be neck and neck.

SD4000 is no problem with a suit.

Can't go wrong with either obviously, but I'd choose the SD. Even though I'd personally get more use out of the GMT functionality since I travel more than I dive - I still like the SD looks more.

Maybe they will release a SS Coke GMT this year at Basel - maybe you should wait to decide!

Own neither but tried both on a number of times.

Sd4K is my "grail", i will not be able to buy another watch for 2-3 years if I am to own one but i think it will be worth it. IMO it is (as stated above by someone else) the perfect sports watch. All other modern rolexes I have at least one issue with, and at these prices the watch needs to meet every single demand!

BLNR - PCLs and no glidelock
Sub - bulky lugs
Exp II - I prefer the 40mm size (and no glidelock)
Exp I - hands are "too short"
Daytona - too shiney

So yeah the I am in the Sea Dweller camp!

BLNR for me. If only it had a glidelock it would be damn near perfect. I've thought about adding one to it and polishing the center link of the clasp.
Anyone done this?

SD4000. Easily. The polished center links kills the GMT and black/blue is not my favorite combo (it has 80's synth-pop vibe to it somehow...)

If the SD4000 had the polished center links that would win for me hands down since the all black is the classic/timeless look.

However if you need the GMT function or prefer the color contrast of the bezel and like the PCL's then get the GMT. I dont need the GMT but i like the look of the blue/black bexel and the PCL's.

I tend to prefer my SD 4000. I do like the beautiful BLNR but I feel like Rolex knocked it out of the park on many levels with this Sea Dweller design.

BLNR for those in dressier attire. SD more for the casual guy. You can wear an SD with a suit, but it doesn't mean you should.

Take it from someone who has an LVc, matching your watch with your clothes becomes an after thought real quick. As for this thread BLNR hands down.
