Wow, after looking at all those gorgeous houses, I'm not sure whether I should post any pics of my tiny 2-bedroom unit in this thread!!

Here's an idea everyone go to a estate agent web site and post an example of a £200000 house or the equivalent in your domestic currency. Then we can compare what you get for your money in different Countries.

I'll start:

Again this is not my house it is just an example of what £200000 will get you in my home Town

My place was built the same era as Lisa's. The brickwork is very similar.

Yes, I know! I can find new ones at our local brick yards, but I want an old one. Or two. I've put it off due to other expenses, but it may be about time to check out the chimney pot website that sells some of the vintage ones. They just cost soooo much to ship.

Here's the other thing - reckon I could find a mason who doesn't mind working under cover of darkness? The neighborhood association will frown on such exterior modification.

Hey, Dan - I need a watch to go with the house. Seriously, a Tudor vintage with California Dial would be perfect!

Yeah, but you might have to trade the Tudor you live in to pay for it.

Property Tax's are way to high but that aside you can buy a huge
house for very little money.
One of the reasons I went along with moving here was because of the price.
If you get close in to downtown they are expensive but in the burbs its way down in price
My wifes daughter bought this home in "The Woodlands" for 250k last year
3k sq ft

Hey, Greg. My sister and her husband are moving to The Woodlands in March. His company is transferring him so they don't have to worry about selling their house in Baton Rouge.
