The size ratio of an atom to an average sized apple is the same as said apple to the earth itself.

Being of the male persuasion, you are better suited to responding to that question . . .

P.S. I am a single woman who is happy with her Jack Russell. Come to think of it, let me talk to your wife.

It was a rhetorical question

Since there are more atoms in a glass of water than there are glasses of water in all the oceans and lakes, etc, it is mathematically probable that the next time you take a drink of any kind at least one molecule of that drink would have once passed through the bladder of Juilius Caeser, Alexander the Great or any historic figure.

A kangaroo rat can go it's entire life of 3 - 5 years without taking a single sip of water.

It helps get your kids to drink enough water, Caroline - they like the idea that they're drinking the same water molecules that the dinosaurs did!

Some toothpastes and deodorants contain the same chemicals found in antifreeze.

You want to frequent more upmarket shopping venues, you old skinflint.

While you're there get me a couple of pairs of those CK Rolex cleaning cloths. Mine are beginning to stink a bit.

My favorite quote: "Then we will fight in the shade" is always quoted incorrectly and attributed to the wrong person.

It is attributed in many books and the old "Spartans" movie to King Leonidas, when in fact, it was actually said by one of his top Lieutenants; Dionikus. Also, the words are incorrect. The actual quote is: "Good, then we will have our battle in the shade" Dionikus was acting very unimpressed with Xerxes (the Persian King's) Lieutenant that prompted the quote with: "Our arrows will blot out the sun", by implying he was more concerned with the weather, (it was a sunny-hot day) then the Persian's bolsterus military claims.

I sitll like the quote very much though

Phoebe's gerbils look just like Kangaroo rats - they must be closely related, too - because they don't require much water and are native to desert areas. It's a plus because they don't smell up their cage quite as fast with rodent winkle.

My youngest son used to have a Degu. Cute little thing, but once out of the cage it chewed through stereo wires, window frames, etc. Cost us a darned fortune in repairs.

Buzz Aldrin's Omega Speedmaster, the one he wore during the famous moon trip, was 'lost' during transport to a museum. The estimated auction value is 3 million US$.

If it were possible to "squash" (let's not get into e.m field talk) you into the smallest single compacted chunk of elemental matter you would be less than the size of a grain of salt yet weigh just the same as you do currently.

The is a LOT of "nothing" going on inside us all, ain't that the truth.

I learned in Cognitive Psychology class that if you study for a test when you are drunk, to make certain you are drunk when you actually take the test. This is referred to as state-dependent learning. When you are learning new information in an altered state, it is encoded and processed differently in the brain than when you are sober, and recall will be greatest if you replicate the altered state prior to your exam.

(Does anyone care to test this and report their findings?)

Yes, I've seen two.
