If it's like everything else Rolex does, the change from having the s/n on both the case and rehaut to the rehaut only is phased over time.

Got ya. I've seen pictures of your reference 118209 that comes with Solid 18k white gold oyster bracelet. The giveaway (apart from the obvious day window) is that the Day-Date version of the oyster bracelet has a hidden clasp like the president bracelet. Wish I had one!

I have been on 7 “waiting lists”for the last 3 years for an explorer 2 polar. I have got spot of my other watches I love from the 4 ads I see. It’s always the same story when I casually bring it up. So for my 34th birthday next month I gave in and got my self my grail watch. If I could not go gray I wouldn’t have. Sucks the way the market it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I’m taking it to the Rolex dealer tomorrow I never use to have it sent out. It keeps time with in Rolex’s superlative chronometer certification so I know it won’t need a full service. I’m just more worried of a halk having the back off and doing god knows what. I never got a second hand watch before so I’m just more nervous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Moved to engraving rehaut years ago to help deter counterfeiters.
