I agree with the others...the 15400 already looks like it shouldn't be any smaller on your wrist. What size wrist do you have?

I have a 6.5in wrist and find the 15400 perfect. Funny enough, but I wanted a 15300 for the longest time as well, and when a few came along I ended up passing on them. Turns out, I really prefer the smaller "AP" logo instead of the large one on the 15300.

Ultimately went with a blue 15400 and couldn't be happier.

I agree with the others the 400 looks fine, wearing a watch that's too small for your wrists really ages you and looks old fashioned so Id make absolutely sure on the 300 first.

IMO it looks great! So does the 15300... The 15400 looks too big on your wrist in my opinion...

How about forking out a bit more and buying the very special 15202?

I'm still not sure how the 15400 would be too big on that wrist...take a look at the case...you can see that it sits within his wrist bones...if anything, the 15400 is already a touch too small as the bracelet is already draping over the wrist bone.

Taste is a different story, but in terms of actual size, it works well.

Well sounds like you've made up your mind.

Should be able to find a used one out there, but BNIB almost impossible.

Post when you get it.

might fit but it's just how it's evolved from the 15300 that i don't like...

Right, in terms of personal taste and the way you are interpreting their design change, those are definitely valid reasons.

Anders, I'll be honest and say that I think the chronograph actually fits you very well, it doesn't look big at all on your wrist if you ask me!

Still, I much prefer the RG models, especially the Day and Date one. Thank you for sharing my friend.

having relooked at me wearing the 15400, i'm starting to agree it is not grotesquely oversized.

while 39mm is more lowkey and traditional size i think the 15400's dial is nicer:

- sticks all the way round.
- no AP logo at 12 to obstruct the flow
- more a silvery/white as opposed to 15300's flat white
- more in line with the 15202
- better bracelet/clasp than an early 15300 (if that's what i buy)

Neil made a good point about the 15400 being more future-proof. i need to consider my ageing eyes
