Omega chose to capture all their seaworthy watches in one group, and all their low WR chronos under the Speedmaster group, dress watches under Constellation, etc. Just because Rolex does things one way does not mean it can't be done differently.

As for Rolex, would any of us complain if they gave us a few more options like Omega does? I for one would LOVE if they offered a Daytona in multiple sizes for example. As for cartoon characters, Rolex puts balloons on their watches after all so the pot may be calling the kettle black there...
Agreed. Omega uses Snoopy because it won NASA’s Silver Snoopy Award for saving the lives of three astronauts whose ship literally exploded halfway between the earth and the moon. Rolex puts emojis on a precious metal Day Date because…????

Totally disagree. Pelagos 39 is their best watch.

From the Tudor website today. Variations shown in brackets. There are dozen of variations in the Prince and Princess lines.

The Black Bay 39 and the 39mm Explorer launched with all the hype last year, very hard to see what the difference between them is.

I would say to Tudor: drop the Style and Glamour Double Date and focus on developing the remaining sub-brands.

Less (but deeper within those that remain) is definitely more.

Amazed to see 146 variations of the Style. Can you imagine the amount of spare parts needed to make so many variations of a line that isn’t particularly popular? A suboptimal use of resources; I would discontinue that line at the earliest.

Bemoans Black Bay but loves the 58 and 54. Must be trying to drum up business.

This was soon after her video revealing her total yearly income was about £20,000. That right, anyone earning £20,000 annually should easily be able to buy a panda according to her. A complete dimwit.

The money, and watches, are her husbands.

She is basically the front for his watch collection, no one would really want to watch another channel of a dull, middle aged man going on about his watches.

I don't subscribe to her channel, juat see the occasional video pop up on recommended and might have an occasional view. The content is pretty much 99% the same as the other popular watch YTers.

The drama around her last year with the missing FP Journe and the deleted video with a GoFundMe to help this incredibly wealthy couple buy another one was hilarious, just Google her name on Reddit.

I’d rather see many more variations of the Pelagos than the Style.

Thanks for this - really interesting bit of history around the original 2012 BB release.

Wearing an omega globemaster annual calendar today. If you post that on the omega forum, most people will respond with some snarly comment about omega only making seamasters and speedmasters.

Well it was.

Now they're really screwed the pooch with the FXD Chrono:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8iU0yqSVBoM

I can imagine the scene inside Tudor HQ:

- CEO: "What watch to make next?"
- Exec 1 : "Yeah, it needs to be something Daring. We dare to do things!"
- Exec 2: "No we're the Dorky company. Let's borrow something from Omega and put a Chrono inside our best diver!"
- CEO: "Perfect, thanks Exec1! Make it happen ASAP!"

Unbelievable. They really can't figure out their own identity. News for them: Putting snowflake hands on everything won't necessarily make it better....

Wait... I don't get it. They made a 2 dial chrono, out of carbon, with a bi-directional count down bezel and they're copying Omega?

Tudor releases two different Pelagos models, including a Pelagos chronograph and then a Prince Chrono that could be a future model. This thread is so ironic.

Oh next year we can have a Pelagos thread and marvel at how Tudor sabotaged their best line of watches

I've seen her videos before and was no more impressed then than now. Consider Black Bay like the Rolex Professional line. There are many different watches in the line.

She isn’t wrong, but doesn’t really seem to be an issue for them, does it?

After all, that which we call a rose, by any other word would smell as sweet.
