Yeah but, if you don't treat your new customers appropriately you may not have any new loyal customers.

Ok, I agree with you, but to become a loyal customer and be eligible for a reward you need first an opportunity to become a customer...(otherwise the AD is narrowing and simply "not open" for new customers.
The solution may be open more ADs in certain areas and make a healthy competition..remember is "all about money".

We all started out as a first time customer. In my case, I started with my first purchase and built a relationship with my AD. Over the past few years I have built a solid collection and still growing....I do trust my AD...

My advice is to build a relationship so that you are working with someone you trust and you enjoy your Rolex buying experience.

Frank, I'd just like to jump in here and clarify that you DON'T mean that Rto didn't try to build a relationship with the AD. We need to account for the (from the sounds of it) probability that Rto had the misfortune to first encounter a schmuck of an AD who tried misleading him from the get-go.

I agree with James, I have a great AD who is both a friend and I trust him. Unfrotunately a higher majority of AD's are idiots that are full of BS and don't know a mainspring from a crown.

Great thread! I was on vacation on South Padre Island, otherwise I would have chimed in sooner. Like some of you know, I work at an AD, although it's only been about 2 1/2 months. We treat everyone that walks in as a potential buyer. We are in the business of making money afterall. I personally treat my customers like I would like to be treated. I am always honest and I never try to BS them. I try to find their needs and I try to fullfill that need. We never sell a Rolex over list price, not even the LV. We can sometimes give you a better price, but it dependes on the model. As fqar as LV availability, I would have to call the company President and ask if we have one available. We usually never have more than one in the whole company, this is part of the reason that it is not sold to the first person that asks for it.

I have to laff at all of us here.
Here me out
Think about it for a minute
How many people out there would die for just ONE Rolex. Or are exstatic they have ONE.
We want to build a relationship with our AD, so they will keep us in our "fix".

I just say, Hats off to all of us
Or bottoms up
Glad I'm a member of this group

Yeah, I think a little professional guidance would be helpful for all of us

Hell the only reason that James, Jason(Pensivedoc) and Tim(TPearman) hang out with us is because they see clients in the waiting.

I miss those last two knuckleheads, wish they would quit working so hard and come back to posting.

In other words, you're happy you found some other nutballs to confirm that you're not the only crazy out there.

Al, I feel sorry for those people, then again, those people have more watches than me, so maybe I am the fool.
