I like it but DLC would be better as PVD tends to scratch easily, not DLC though, but I don't know if you can DLC an existing watch or if it has to be done when they make it...

I love PVD, and yours looks fantastic. I prefer it on the bracelet.

PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is the process to apply the DLC (Diamond-Like Coating). The key is to make sure the substance that is being applied is a quality, adherent, and scratch-proof material.

My watch was also done by Jack. We talked at length about the substance he was going to apply.

I wouldn't want it for my only Rolex, but I do like having one in a collection with multiples. Mine gets a fair bit of use

Well Said. I wouldn't go PVD or DLC'ing every Rolex I have, but one in the mix is cool.

And just to be clear..... yours is PVD not DLC correct ?

Read my earlier post. PVD is the process, DLC is the material applied.

Curious, once you've done the pvd process are you able to "undo" it and bring back the normal stainless look if you wanted to change back?

Absolutely. Obviously there is a charge for it, but it is less than a service.

Looks good. Is it true the PVD scratches easily? Also can you service it at the AD?

Thanks Jason. I assume once the pvd is removed and back to stainless look then rolex would service it, right? Interesting. I like it.

I'm not so sure that they would be happy with my Red Yachtmaster hand....but yes, I believe that Rolex would have no ability to know it had ever been altered before.
