I guess the thing that threw me off was having a long patek purchase hx but being surprised that they aren't exactly speedy with service.

In my book Service is different than having a new defective watch that you’ve owned for 3 months and then it’s gone for 6-12 months.

My late mother’s quartz RO took $840 and 3 months for a battery change.

Not sure if they need to manufacture the battery… And the watch was not even polished since my mother only worn it a couple of times when she was still alive. We wanted to have it checked out and serviced as a momento of her. But other than a battery change, no other work was done. Surprised it took so long and so expensive.
