Eventually found a reference to Phoenix on a Military watch site, for the factory that makes these for the MoD and other re-sellers. Google "Mickie500" and "NATO". He sells new, one offs (over stock) and seconds.

Alternatively, I heard that Silvermans (the MoD surplus store) sometimes stock them.
