Great story and congratulations on your watch and 10th Anniversary! My wife and I have got each other Rolexes for our upcoming 10th and I also went GMT with a 16710.

Enjoy in good health!

If I may ask, why did you go with the black bezel insert instead of the more iconic colorful inserts?

Great question! Albatross hit the nail on its head below. To build on that- the LN is more conservative for professional environments and dressier than the bi-colored bezels - so if I were to choose one Rolex the 116710LN would be it.

Wear it in good health! That's a watch that can last you a lifetime.

Congratulations Anthony

That was also my first 6 digit reference, and I still have a lot of love for it

Yeah I had considered a sub or SD but I realized that I really would like a multiple time zone complication since I travel quite a bit and have friends around the world I’d like to stay better connected with. The GMT is also a bit less common and I love the green hand and dial text! Can’t go wrong with a sub if you don’t need the GMT complication though!

Very nice indeed! Congratulations on your great looking GMT LN! This is the same watch I purchased as my first Rolex in 2009. It has given me 10 great years of enjoyment. Still accurate to +2 sec/day. Stay warm in Chicago and enjoy your new Rolex in great health. Cheers!
