For me the difference is between a narrow power band and instant power. One has to be finessed to go fast and one will lull you into complacency. Once you learn finesse, boy can you go fast. Until then instant power will be more than enough. Learned to go fast driving a 930 when drop throttle overstear had to be understood and coralled. Took that knowledge and now can drive Corvettes fast; and they will swap ends when driven to the limit. Moral of this story. When I open the garage door on a nice sunny weekend day, I love to drive both and don't care what the owners of the other "Badges" think. I just watch them in the rearview trying to keep up.
