My guess is that the photo is of a special order for a VVVIP. Someone got ahold of it and now rumors are swirling

There will be novelties on 15 November. I have no clue what is going to be new. The collection 30-50k Stern mentioned earlier this year was officially moved for 2024. The homage series or collection to his father had to make its debut for Only watch - Only watch is now delayed so maybe this is the novelty. WE will soon find out.

Maybe a 5330G-001 World Time with Date. That one I’ll quickly get in line.

Hi, everyone. Long time lurker..
The salmon picture ist definitely fake. Here is the original picture, from which the watch was taken(look at the sticker to confirm). The gold 5726 has just been cut out and the salmon dial inserted. |

My guess is I won't be able to buy any - -unless I suddenly feel like dropping a cool $500k at a shitty local jeweler with a Patek license.

I'm a little surprised we didn't yet get novelties like in the last 2/3 years when PP decided to launch something mid-October and last year in November for specific gem-set pieces.
I wonder if the market slowing down in the Luxury sector (and even generally) is a reason for this (Richemont has unveiled today its Q2 with -4% for watches). I'm speculating saying that PP could have decided to postpone the new line (and maybe other watches?) to 2024, a way to see what it will look like in a few months, but who knows... This would help not having some classical pieces sitting on the shelves. (At least in Paris we have a new ALS boutique opening to spend some nice time :p ) |

Hopefully that’s not it.. Pretty niche stuff for the likes of mainland China and Russia market perhaps.
I was going to use the word “gaudy”.. |

IMO a huge miss from Patek. The funny thing is that I do agree that they need to expand their ladies collection. But a blinged out minute repeater? A battery powered blinged out nautilus?? Terrible.
Rolex does ladies watches really well - Datejust, OPs, Yachtmasters, Daytonas. You can tell they are ladies WATCHES. Emphasis on the watch, not the wearer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Last year's November releases where gem-set pieces already.
Moreover, Patek said a few years ago that ladies were more into Patek, into watches in general, and especially more complicated ones (hence the around 2018 PC ladies offer). The Gem-set ladies watch seem spot-on for a certain niche of wealthy clients. And its a quite feminine and colorful offer. As 42mm watches find their (big) wrists, I think it's normal to have such an offer. Not my type but I understand it, especially in a world that has strongly evolved on the styling side over the last 15 years. We should also remember that gem-set watches were a thing in the 1980's. Just the evolution of trends. Still, there are watches for every tastes in the catalogue from sporty to more traditional ones. It doesn't shock me. Like the 1938P that is a commemorative piece, not only a watch, that should nearly have remained under the radar. I think the watch would have deserved more attention from watch fans on the movement side that nobody talks about. I imagine this piece will be "history" in 4 or 5 years and people will have forgotten about it. |
