I have these two, the "Multiple" wallet and the Keepall 55. I love the look of the Damier Graphite, and although I had some misgivings about the canvas holding up over time, it seems to be more resilient than leather so far.

I used to be a big fan of Coach, until a few years ago when their quality took a nosedive.

^^ I also have that Graphite 55. LV is similar to Rolex - nice marketing (but better price control), decent quality, and ubiquitous. There are other smaller brands that get my blood pumping, thankfully this area is not high on my list of priorities. I would not buy their wallets/belts, but their shoes and sunglasses are intriguing (see my avatar).

If you live in the states, buy LV in Hawaii if you can. You'll thank me later.

Each of those flavors would have the same price, from the same manufacturer.

Please explain! I don't think the price varies in the U.S. And I'm going to Hawaii next November!

ONLY place I go crazy LV shopping is in their Boutique in Oahu. Choices unlimited!

Unless something has changed recently, Hawaii is not in Louis Vuitton's US market. As a result, it's marginally cheaper.

My wife and I both have several LV items. We love them. They last a long time and take a beating. Seriously we don’t baby the bags and wallets.

For some odd reason LV don’t ever seem to match any outfit but it is acceptable to use it with any outfit…

BUT… I do wish LV was not so heavily knocked off.

I'll hold off on any LV purchases until my trip to HI, then. Unless I make one of those impulse purchases at the LV store in Vegas.

LV is not for me, but my wife has a few items. Seems that the brand has lost it's mystique and exclusivity as they can be seen everywhere now !

My wife has recently switched to Coach handbags and wallets.

I ask this question because I want other perspectives from fellow Rolex owners. I am going on a trip soon and was considering getting myself something from this brand like a wallet and possibly a pair of shoes.

Do you own anything from this brand? How does it hold up?
I have a LV Epi leather card wallet and I bought my wife an Epi evening clutch. Both of us feel the monogram design is too much and prefer to be on the discreet side.

The quality is good and we have own them for some time now and they still look like new.

Like all things, you have to ask yourself why do you want to buy a LV? Do you want people to know that you have an LV? Or do you truly appreciate the history and quality of LV?

Also wondering this. If there's one brand in that industry that's absolutely everywhere, it's Coach.

My girlfriend has a LV handbag and she bought me a wallet one Christmas. Don't tell her, but personally, I don't get the appeal of the stuff. Money better spent on watches

The wallets are well made. Their sunglasses are well made. Their belts are pretty good, but the canvas is cracking on one of my belts. Their dress shoes run too narrow. If you don't want to look showy get a Damier print. It looks like a checker board rather than the regular LV print. The LV briefcases like their suitcases lack pockets for holding stuff.

The wife switched to Coach several years ago, due to different tastes. Sorry if I was not specific in my post.

My wife has 2 LV bags and I have a wallet and a belt. All have held up wonderfully and are in great shape. I only buy leather though. I would never pay for the canvas stuff. I think that the Hermes leather is better, but even more expensive. Skip the cheaper, common canvas and you'll be fine!
I'm actually thinking of getting a new wallet this year. I'll definately consider another LV. The nice thing about a lux wallet is that no one but you, or maybe a really observant barista, knows what you're packing.

LV is a great brand... especially when it comes to handbags...
We have a few items from LV. I think they are great. It depend on your taste, if you like showy things, then go with a monogram. If not, they have epi leather, that has a very small LV logo on the front of the item. I personally perfer epi leather over monogram.

I will never buy LV. For many reasons, including
1) I think the print is tacky
2) I think that it is overdone
3) Too many people have fake LV's, so it's not even worth having a real one.
4) Kanye West plugs it too much. Yuck.

You can never go wrong with Burberry though! Just stay away from anything that has real fur.

My whole family has at least 2 LV items, and I must say they hold up really well.

Also they control the market just like Rolex, but have absolute control over prices, since nothing goes on sale, plus their sales associates are limited to 2 items to buy discounted a year.

And all the people saying there are alot of fakes, as a LV owner and Rolex owner I can spot a fake a mile away. The only people their fooling is themselves and people who dont know what the real thing looks like.

I Love LV :)
Fashion and function. The quality is just top notch. Im not really bothered that almost everyone rocks it here(Vancouver)/alot of fakes. Its what makes your heart happy right right?
I got all the necessary(for me) mens stuff: monogram wallet going on 4 years , Card holder 4 years, Cashmere Toque birthday 09(SOOOOOO COMFY!!!), Mail carrier Dalmer Graphite Murse birthday 08 (boy that thing can carry alot of wine bottles LOL).
Wifey on the other hand is spoiled rotten with LV (Luggage Bags Purses and every lil trinket under the sun she has to have)

I find the mens stuff pretty reasonably priced considering the craftmenship involved.
The Womans stuff however

Enjoy your Lv folks

Dan
