Guess I was lucky , I got one in 2003 after a short wait and I now swapped it with my AD,s brother-in-law for a BNIB same dial . I however would never like to be without one . Got another one coming from HK with my uncle that I will sell with a nice little profit . Must be like many things ; I you want it you can't get it and once you got it seems easy to get more of them . A bit like the first million being the hardest to make ....

Great deals can be found here in the sales area. Soem well know, well respected sellers will find you one if you have the funds. If you do your due diligence you will not get ripped off and can save hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

Great story Paul!! My local AD has the usual list with one twist. Pre-pay and you are immediately at the head of the list. They have obviously experienced many no answers in this climate when they call the people on the list, so they added this twist recently and I can tell you from personal experience, you get your Daytona in weeks this way

I used to be interested in one but now the $3,000+ ahead by waiting for your AD to get you one days are long gone. I've been on the waiting list that long. Apparently buying 5 Rolex from them didn't matter either. I got an Omega Speedmaster Pro instead.

For a Daytona? I'd do nothing!!
But if I had that kind of spare cash lying around, I'd seriously think about a TT Blue Sub............once more. Boy, do I miss that baby!!

Come to the 'burgh on your way overseas. Craig (loxmyth) and I are planning a GTG, we'll be looking for anyone else who wants to join us. Keep in mind, he's happily married, so he may not have the same insight regarding the fairer sex.
