Before my Dad was in the picture my mum dated a young man called Douglas Graves.
Not too bad until you realised he was an apprentice undertaker! That is absolutely true as is another person she knew from her days in Nursing. Though it was not a funny job related name it was a funny name for a serious profession.

Mr Sykes-Balls, he was a coroner!

Another story: I went to high school with a chick named Vrolet. She was named this because she was conceived in the back of a Chevrolet. Her parents were big hippies.

LOL.

LOL.
More to the point - they were libidinous hippies.

In my high school there was a "Donald Duck", kind of a tough guy and a "Davey Crockett", kind of crazy. I guess you have to be one or the other with names like that, like a previous post, "A Boy Named Sue".

This is so bizarre that I pondered even sharing this, but it's nonetheless true. . . One of my friends began her teaching career in an impoverished area in New Jersey. Prior to becoming a statistician, she taught junior high math. One of her students, a 14 year-old became impregnated and named her child "Vagina Sue." I guess that mitigated - make that eliminated -any future possibility for gender confusion, but it just ain't fittin' to do that to someone!!

Oh my!

I believe I would have a hard time addressing that young lady in any meaningful conversation where first names were employed.

Good grief! I really think some parents need to be slapped for some of the names they give their kids!
Do you remember in the 70's we had a whole bunch of zweeble's moonbeams and stargazers (well there were where I was in the UK!) What was it David Bowie called his son, Zowie?

I ve had the honor to know both a Richard Seeman, and a Richard Head. The latter seems to have grown into the proper representation of his namesake.
