I know a few people that wear sub's who track other timezones in that way... It works well!

Cheers!

I just keep my watch on home time, and set my telephone to local time.

No math. No work. No problem.

But what if you leave your telephone at home?

Kudos to you. Excellent, genius and very informative. Thank you.

If the time at the second time zone is ahead just rotate the bezel counter clockwise how many hours. If the time is behind move the pearl to the amount of hours ahead it is starting clockwise. The pearl indicates 12 oclock. Just double the first digit of any of the bezel numberals and you have the hour readout for that time zone just know if it's morning or evening over there which is pretty obvious.

AND to top that off i now have an elapsed time feature as well. Hit all birds with one stone.
I just sleep on the plane

Can get confusing when tracking New Zealand time and US pacific time.
The template doesn't work in this case. NZ is 16 hours ahead. I have to turn my bezel counter-clockwise 5 hours, to set the bezel. If I turn clockwise, or turn it 16 hours in either direction, it won't work. So, even if I do know the hour difference, I won't be able to set the bezel unless I already know the time at both locations.

Best to get the GMT or use my XPII

However, good to know, since I swap between my XP II and Subdate often.

Turn it counterclocwise 4 hours. Whenever the time is ahead you go counterclockwise 16 hour stops.

Hey..

I got it.

Actually, US pacific time is 19 hrs behind New Zealand.
I set my sub last nite, and it actually works.
Awesome.

Excellent so yeah in your case if you are in NZ and tracking pacific you landed on the 7 oclock marker correct? (19 hour stops clockwise because it's behind) in your post i originally thought you were in eastern time and wanted to track NZ time.

This is helpful when you're traveling international -- when time zones are +12 hrs apart. I don't see the need if you're traveling within the U.S.

Alright so now. Let's say we want to track GMT time. Time is set to 10:30 Eastern Standard Time (GMT-5) so GMT is 5 hours ahead we will proceed to turn the bezel counter clockwise 5 hour stops it will land on the 7 oclock marker.

I have superimposed the hours the bezel represents with the pearl being 12 oclock. Looking at the hour hand where it lies it is 3:30.

Now another example let's say i am in Eastern time and i want to track pacific time which is 3 hours BEHIND i will make note that the pearl should be set 3 hours clockwise which lands on the 3 oclock marker.

Looking at this diagram we know it is 7:30 in california. The only thing you got to think of is if it's pm or am which is a no brainer since it's relative to your location easy.
I wasn't able to see the pictures you posted online. Are you able to email them to me at [email protected]?? I'm going to London and Paris next month and could really use this tracking method!

Can someone explain this? So I’m in PST and I want GMT. Do I put the top of the bezel at the 4pm position?

Or get a GMT to do more.. ....
Track 1st time zone with hands in usual way.
Track 2nd time zone using 24 hr hand.
Use bezel as a timer.....Rotate as required and multiply by 2.5 to give minute readings.
