I had a feeling most of us would prefer a pianted dial
that looks more vintage and Panerai lovers do prefer vintage looks

On polished stainless steel lumis definitely PAINTED dials as the numbers and markers are more dominant and represent a perfect counterpole to the polished case.

With titanium case lumis it´s a bit different and I like the sandwich dial better - the same for radis.

We don't need no stinkin' sausages- SANDWICH all the way!!

I wouldn't let a sausage dial stop me, but given the choice a sandwich dial adds a very interesting subsurface dimension to the view of the dial which I find most compelling.
