I am jumping on the fluted bandwagon. Some watches can work with diamonds but since the gold with the deep blue dial is already a fashion statement, the diamonds take it way over the top. The diamonds work worn by a lady at a reception with the President or the Queen but how many of those events do you attend ?

As much as I like bling, im going to say fluted. Because the diamond bezel doesnt fit quite right in my opinion.

I voted Fluted, but definitley keep both, that diamond bezel does look good on there, and I think it would be fun to have to throw on there when you feel like it. But for everyday use, definitley Fluted.

It's crazy how it looks a diffenent color in every light

When I set out to make a tribute watch to the one my father had when I was a child I was tempted by the low cost and availability of aftermarket Lapis dials and I have to say that I'm glad that I put the time, patience and money into getting a genuine example.
