Happy birthday for the big Five O Steve.

Hope you have many more.

They have products to fix the grey so don't worry.

Some great pix so far - this is going to be tough.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone ...... Really appreciated

The photo entries are looking fantastic and it's going to be extremely difficult to choose just 5 and even harder ranking them..... The little lady is starting to worry about the task ahead

Anyway, I have survived the first B-Day party night .... Just I took 10 friends for dinner to Dans le Noir in Clerkenwell in London. Basically, a crazy dining experience where you eat in the pitch black. So still with knives and forks and glasses but you can see absolutely nothing at all.... not even shapes or anything. All the waiters are completely blind and the experience is therefore meant to be about the taste. Some unusual food as we found out later since you can only choose either the black menu (meat) or white menu (chefs surprise) which I went for. Phones and cameras were not allowed in but they obviously didn't think about watches as my GMTIIC was glowing like a beacon once inside so I had to take it off and pop it in my pocket

The starter was scallops which, incredibly, give off a very faint luminescence. Main course was a mix of shark, kangaroo and Kobe beef. Dessert was very obscure fruit and weird tasting chocolate. A very odd but interesting experience and one you should try if you get the opportunity. I think there is one in New York and Paris.

Anyway, taking the extended family (18 of us) out for Thai Fusion tonight down on the South Coast of England..... And so it goes on.....

But keep the photos coming and bump it from time to time.

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone.

Just back home after a crazy weekend. Really good to catch up with the family and, like me, I don't think my Mum believes it's been 50 years either

Anyway, back to the photo competition.... Some fantastic entries but keep them coming as i'm going to give you all a few weeks (until Sunday 4th December) so as many TRFers as possible can submit their shots. If you want to re-submit that's fine and just let me know which your final 2 are.

And anyone who thinks they don't have the photographic equipment, you would be surprised how good even the camera on an I-phone is. It also has great depth of field so keeps quite a lot of your composition in focus. And this competition is also more about composition ideas than just shots requiring good camera lens or particular equipment.

So keep them coming
