Well JJ....like Daren said, it's kinda like asking on a Merc forum whether you like BMW or Mercedes better. The answer is going to be obvious.

I have said along time ago Dennis, I am here for the friends, like yourelf and many others, not the watches.

Rolex #1 ... why because the Sub and Daytona just stand out. Also a Rolex is a Rolex.
Now .... my love for a Panerai is growing and I truly would love to have a PAM 187 or a PAM 168. Huge 47MM and looks that turn heads ! I have seen both in person and want one. When you see these 2 models, your view will change. They are stunning.

PAM187

PAM168

Daren, my friend, please don't misunderstand me. The only reason I posted this poll was 'cause I just couldn't come up with anything else at the time (i.e. this morning my time).

I figured (and was rather curious) that it would be a bit of fun and also interesting to see which watch won, especially since there are a number of Panny fans on this forum. Frankly, I expected a closer match between the votes.

Anyway, thanks for your votes and responses.

Cheers - JJ
JJ, it is all good my friend, my point was that the answer was obvious, that's all. If I had only one watch in my life, it would be the one on my wrist right now, the YM, thankfully I don't have to make that decision so I can wear what makes me happy for the here and now. But I like Pannies, didn't used to, and I like other brands as well. The JLC MC is the new one that I am hot and heavy for.

Look at my reply to Mav, that is the reason I am here.

One day I will get to try a Panerai on - when I can to a dealer who stocks them, they are few and far between. I have tried on the small and large Plane Ocean and Railmaster and find the larger ones too big, the smaller models fit me much better. I think that the Panerai would likewise be too big.

Maybe I will change my opinion about them after I have tried one on, until then I would not really consider them. I do not really like the crown protection device so that rules out most apart from the Radiomir models. As I prefer centre seconds, it only leaves the base model or one of the limited editions.

I guess I would have to vote for Rolex.
