I would say everyone using the car badge examples is way off base unless the difference in these cars is an appearance package. This watch will tell time just as well as the WG version. If you want it and are willing to deal with it not being a true WG then get it. The only question I have is how much do these parts cost and can they be sourced?

I love everything about the watch except the PCL's, I hate PCL's, to dressy IMHO for a sport watch......
Blue rules I'm not sure it's worth even close to what he is asking though. |

Each to their own, it's original rolex parts, and the smurf always looks good.
Only drawback as others have said it is likley that rolex will not service it, so find a good independent who you would trust. |

It's your money and will be your watch to do with as you please. You are not trying to defraud anybody and only a tiny, tiny minority will be aware that it did not leave the factory in that condition. Also, the original parts come with it, so if it floats your boat go for it.

Looks great. I do like a Sub with blue dial, Rolex's current offering with the Platinum case and bracelet makes it very impractical for me, as well as it being out of my price range.
So this one would fit the bill for me. However it may end up being quite costly in the long run of you choose to have the black dial, black Ceramic bezel (and non Polished centre link bracelet) re-installed by a skilled watchmaker prior to passing it to a Rolex RSC for service, then having the blue re-fitted after that. |

I wouldn't. Like what another member has said... it's the same thing as putting a M3 badge on a 328i or a AMG badge on a C320. Basically, you are spending roughly 4K plus for the bezel and dial plus swap out service...
With that extra money... you can buy a regular Sub-C Date and EXTRA Sub ND or Sub Date as a beater watch or whatever floats your boat. I'd recommend buying Sub-C date AND a omega seamaster professional planet ocean ceramic. |

Go for it!
Buy it if that is what will make you happy. It's your money. Pay no attention to those diametrically opposed.

I would't mind having one,Allthough I would get the bracelet polished back to the original look.

First...Great seller but...
I say a big NO to the watch as well. Fraud "might be" harsh but it's close IMHO. Someone else said Tacky and its for sure that. |

Speaking from personal experience, there is no replacing the 116619. I agree with the other members who are not opposed to modifications, but not mods. that try to turn it into another model.
If the WG is what you want, save up for it and don't settle. I saved about a year and a half and sold 2 watches for it.....ironically enough, I purchased my 116619 from Davidsw. I think you will feel slightly cheated every time you look at it, cause you know what it's supposed to be. |

It is exactly the watch I would buy if I didn't just pick up my Daytona. EXACTLY!
