I called AP in Clearwater, FL today. The person with whom I spoke asked me to send a picture of the dial and my concerns in writing. I've done this. I suppose I'll find out what can be done about it in the next day or so. I'll keep you posted.

Just checked my slate-dial Jumbo and it looks pretty straight:

(Sorry, all I've got is an iPhone; can't get much closer.)

Guess I got lucky.
